Reading and Spelling Homework Guidelines
* Refer to the calendar for homework days and test days.
* EX: U1 W1 D1 on the calendar = Unit 1, Week 1, Day 1
* Homework should be completed on notebook paper, stapled together, and returned in the daily folder on Day 5 in order to receive full credit. Homework will be taken for a grade.
Day 1:
1. Read the story in the Reading/Writing Workshop book. Retell what happened in the story to a parent.
2. Write Spelling words 3 times each.
3. Read for 20(or more) minutes and record the information onto your reading log.
Day 2:
1. Read the story in the Reading/Writing Workshop book. Retell what happened in the story to a parent.
2. Write sentences with each of the Spelling words. (*Underline the Spelling words*)
3. Read for 20(or more) minutes and record the information onto your reading log.
Day 3:
1. Read the story #1 in the Literature Anthology book. Retell what happened in the story to a parent.
2. Write High Frequency words 3 times each.
3. Read for 20(or more) minutes and record the information onto your reading log.
Day 4:
1. Read the story #2 from the Literature Anthology book. Retell what happened in the story to a parent.
2. Write sentences with each of the High Frequency Words. (*Underline the High Frequency Words*)
3. Read for 20(or more) minutes and record the information onto your reading log.
Day 5:
1. Read for 20(or more) minutes and record the information onto your reading log.
